Rear Hold

The rear hold of the aircraft is used to hold instrumentation needing access to the underside of the aircraft. In most cases this is to measure the environment underneath the aircraft during flight. The development of this area is based around aperture development, see Apertures & Hardpoints Development, but it also includes the removal and reuse of retired equipment. Other features being considered are window demisting capabilities for the apertures and standardised general facilities, including mounts and power service points, to simplify the inclusion of new instrumentation.
