G-LUXE is 30 years old .
On 03 September G-SSSH, the BAe-146-100 prototype made its first flight from Hatfield Aerodrome.
That aeroplane was then converted and flight tested as the BAe-146-300 prototype.  It was re-registered as G-LUXE.
G-LUXE was then between 2001-2004  converted to the only BAe-146-301, which today celebrated its 30th birthday by flying its 629th science flight; the Royal Aeronautical Society also celebrated its 30th birthday by putting  us on the cover of this month's issue of Aerospace Professional.
