A new airborne submillimetre instrument is being developed for scientific atmospheric measurements and as a demonstrator for proof of satellite concepts. ISMAR (International Submillimetre Airborne Radiometer) is jointly funded by Met Office and ESA.
A submillimetre workshop will be held in Exeter, UK, from 22nd to 23rd September 2011. The workshop will take place at the Met Office, on the outskirts of Exeter. The workshop is especially devoted to submillimetre scientific application, airborne submillimetre instrumentation, algorithm development and data analysis, and the future satellites.
